Introduction

Grevego is a green lifestyle and nutrition technology platform designed to make healthy food and wellness choices easier to access across urban African communities.


The product connects users to verified vendors of healthy foods, beverages, organic products, and wellness items, while providing personalized nutrition support through a simple, WhatsApp-enabled experience. Grevego focuses on convenience, quality, and sustainability, reducing friction for users and inefficiencies across the supply chain.

The Challenges Grevego Is Addressing

Across many urban communities, people want to eat healthier — but the system isn’t built to support them.


Healthy food and wellness products are spread across fragmented vendors, making access inconsistent and time-consuming. Deliveries often arrive warm because most services operate at room temperature, affecting quality and safety. Nutrition advice is usually generic, offering little help to people with specific health goals or conditions.


On the other side, vendors struggle too. Poor storage, food spoilage, and unpredictable demand lead to losses that make healthy retail difficult to sustain.


These gaps create friction for users and inefficiencies across the entire ecosystem — making healthy living harder than it needs to be.

How Grevego Makes Healthy Living Easier

Grevego was designed to remove friction from healthy living, not add another layer of complexity.


The platform brings verified vendors into one accessible system, making it easier for users to discover and order healthy foods, drinks, and wellness products in one place. Optimized cold distribution helps preserve freshness, improve safety, and reduce food waste across the supply chain.


Instead of generic advice, Grevego provides personalized nutrition guidance based on individual needs, helping users make informed choices they can actually sustain.


By aligning users, vendors, and logistics through data and smarter coordination, Grevego creates a healthier experience for people and a more sustainable model for vendors.

Design Focus

Working on Grevego was a meaningful learning experience for me. It was the first time I was deeply involved in conversations around healthy living, sustainability, and the role technology can play in supporting better choices.


Those conversations were intentional and empathy-led, shaped by a shared desire to help people live better, do better, and be more mindful of how they care for themselves. I allowed that mindset to guide how the first version of Grevego took shape.


The design focus was clarity and simplicity. At this stage, the goal wasn’t to build everything at once, but to introduce the product in its simplest, most useful form and validate it early.


We started with a straightforward website to introduce the product, onboard vendors, riders, and the general public, and drive early adoption. Alongside this, I designed simple, easy-to-use dashboards for vendors and riders, prioritizing usability over complexity.


Throughout the process, I focused on tracking conversion, understanding usage patterns, and collecting feedback. These insights informed continuous iteration, ensuring each decision moved the product closer to what users actually need.


This approach allowed Grevego to launch with intention, learn quickly, and grow from a solid, user-centered foundation.
